Ron Andrews

Bio: Ron is the driving force behind his company. His strong work ethic, lumber industry knowledge, outstanding leadership abilities, and attention to detail continues to make Deer Park one of the most successful forest product companies in northeast Pennsylvania.
Ron has been a strong advocate for the forest products industry over the years and is now the current chairman for the Pennsylvania Forest Products Association (formerly HLMA).
In 1996 Ron was selected by Pennsylvania Governor Ridge to serve on the Hardwood Development Council. He is a member of the Woodmobile and Grants Review Committees. He purchased and donated the truck and trailer for the Woodmobile which travels Pennsylvania as an educational exhibit. Ron has hired an educational coordinator who hosts school tours of the sawmill and presents a forest products educational program to students in their classrooms.
Ron also supports other organizations through company membership and employee participation. Deep Park is a member of the Lake Erie and Ontario Sawfilers Association, Keystone Kiln Drying Association, Northern Tier Hardwood Association, and Hardwood Manufacturers Association.

Ryan Andrews

Bio: Ryan Andrews is a graduate of Penn State University with a B.A. in Agricultural Business Management. He is also a certified lumber inspector, having received that title in 1992 from the National Hardwood Lumber Association in Memphis,Tennessee.
Currently Ryan is responsible for managing Deer Park Lumber supervising its 75 employees, his responsibilities include sawmill production, quality control, maintenance, and kiln area operations. He was also very actively involved in planning the recent expansion of the sawmill and kiln areas.
Working at Deer Park Lumber is the best of all worlds for Ryan, he gets to work with family and he uses his experience and knowledge. Ryan is also a wilderness guide and loves to camp, hike, hunt, and horseback ride.

Matt Andrews

Bio: After graduating from Cameron County High School in Emporium, Pennsylvania, Matt attended Keystone Junior college in 1990 and Mercyhurst College in 1991. During the summer months in between college, he worked in southwestern Montana as a ranch hand and fly-fishing guide on the Madison River. He graduated from Paul Smith’s College in the Adirondack Mountains in 1994 with a degree in forestry. Since working full time at his family business, Matt has learned many different positions. Lumber stacker, debarker operator, log scaling and procurement forestry, just to name a few. Matt has continued his education since college with Sustainable Forestry Initiative training and silvaculture and log bucking training in Pennsylvania. Currently, he is a member of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative of Pennsylvania State Implementation Committee and continues his membership in the Society of American Foresters.
Matt truly enjoys his life engaged in his family’s lumber business. He enjoys the everyday challenges and all the fine people he meets in the lumber and timber business. He currently is enjoying his trips to foreign countries with Deer Park’s salesman representing his family’s business and meeting old and new customers alike.

Dan DiMeolo

Bio: A 1983 graduate of Lock Haven University with a B.S. in Natural Science, Dan serves as a member of Deer Park's senior management team. He is responsible for communicating daily priorities to the sawmill, grading station and stacker. Mr. DiMeolo is primarily responsible for handling of the OSHA compliance, Worker's Compensation, safety programs and human resources.
Dan enjoys working at Deer Park because of the day to day challenges and the diversity of duties within his job. His 10 years of recruiting, orientation and training at Deer Park Lumber, serve the company well.

Steve Fox

Bio: Steve is a graduate of Penn State University and possesses a degree in Forest Technology. He has held his position with Deer Park Lumber for 18 years with prior experience of 7 years as a Procurement Forester for a hardwood sawmill and 11 years as Mid-eastern US Lumber buyer for Ethan Allen. For Steve working at Deer Park Lumber is rewarding because it is a small family owned company and he feels that his efforts make a difference.

Jeff Nichols

Bio: Jeffery graduated from West Virginia University in 1984 with a Master's Degree in Forestry and is now Deer Park Lumber's Director of Procurement.
He likes working at Deer Park Lumber for the challenge of building and growing the procurement and forestry services that Deer Park Lumber provides. Deer Park invests in all parts of it's business to continually improve for short and long term goals. He'd like to see Deer Park as the leader in the forest industry.

As Project manager, I am involved in project equipment and building acquisition, including layout, pricing, and installation. I manage the maintenance of our loaders, air compressors, and kiln area equipment as well as oversee our office and computer network.
I enjoy the ever-changing, daily challenges this work involves and being part of the Deer Park team. I have the opportunity to learn everyday in this position and work with a great group of people.
Sherry, project manager for Deer Park Lumber is a 1997 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a 1980 graduate of the NHLA Lumber Inspection School. Her job responsibilities include project management for equipment and building acquisitions, supervising maintenance for Deer Park’s loaders, air compressors, and kiln area equipment, overseeing the office, and administering the computer network.
